Bhajan and Events

Bhajan

Everyday the aaratrikam is followed by bhajans (prayers in the form of songs). During community singing, divine vibrations emerge sanctifying the whole atmosphere.
Community singing promotes unity, which leads to purity and divinity. Singing with intense yearning for God and enjoying the experience of adoring Him helps purify our minds full of thoughts of this ephemeral world.
Every day after evening Aaratrikam bhajans are performed by monks or devotees. On ekadashi special bhajan of Lord Sri Rama in form of RamNaam Sankirtan is done. The singing of Ramnam Sankirtan in the Ramakrishna Mission of the Ramakrishna Order was started by none other than Srimat Swami Brahmananda, 1st president of the order, himself.
